After several years of being urged to add my two cents to the national dialog [not that two cents is worth anything anymore] I finally agreed to BLOG.
[Even the term sounds obscene, let alone the act of doing it.]
I still, however, steadfastly refuse to TWEET [even that sounds WRONG!]
A little background:
Many years ago in my Early years while overseas in the Air Force, I took to publishing a periodic missive entitled
Father Goose's Nursery Crimes
wherein I lambasted the establishment [actually - the military hierarchy] about anything and everything that affected the poor, down trodden, abused and under paid enlisted man - Ok... ME - and a few of my somewhat reluctant to be included - cohorts.
Time has passed and according to my friends and family, I'm supposed to have mellowed... Uhhhh yeah...right!
So here it is -"Brain Drops" - the ramblings of a professional curmudgeon who refuses to sit still and will "Keep on - Keepin' on" 'til they Toast me {literally}, Roast Me and Toss my ashes into Biscayne Bay.
What caused me to breakdown and commit my ramblings and ire to print?
Well... May 1, 2007 I began 8 weeks of radiation treatments coupled with 3 doses of chemotherapy to rid me of head and neck Cancer, another of God's little trials of my character and patience [not that I've demonstrated much of either in my lifetime]
Subsequently, the Fabulous Folks at Memorial Regional Cancer Institute asked if I would write a recap of my ordeal for future Cancer patients to get an idea of what one really goes through during treatment since just hearing it from the doctors doesn't always prepare you for the reality.

follows here with several updates as the saga continued well beyond expected.
